Brooke

Here she is in summer outfits Oma got her. The purple dress she got when she was born and the pink outfit she got when Oma was here earlier this month. We are soo ready for warm weather!! She loves being outside. The warmer the better. She isn't a fan of the wind but who is?
She has figured out how to Clap. She does not want to learn to crawl yet. She would rather have me put my hands out and she holds them and walks. Once that takes place then I am in for it.
It is taking forever for her front tooth to come in and at the same time fighting a little cold.
She loves Gerber Sweet Potatoes finger food. She'll eat that rather than the food I make her UNLESS she is super hungery.
She is also getting more verbal. BABABAABAA and almost doing the Elvis lips moving her mouth around. She has also discovered her hands. Looking at them open/close while she drinks a bottle. It is cute. I hope all is well with everyone and we look forward to coming up north this summer. Dates pending but in the works ;>)

Brad and Brooke

Brad is my friend Amanda's youngest boy. I am babysitting him every Tues and Friday for 3 months. It is so fun. This has become a great thing for me and to have a playmate for Brooke. Brad is 10 months old and a very good boy. Brooke is a week shy of turning 7 months. They are becoming buddies. Brad can go all over the place while Brooke sits ;>) She'll get the hang of it in no time then I'll be chasing them all over the house ;>)

Underground Irrigation North Side Pasture

Through snow and hard wind these hard working men, Doug, Darin and Uncle Mike, put in underground irrigation in the north pasture.
We will still use the wheel lines to irrigate the pastures but this location will save us time. So instead of transfering the hand lines back and forth we will keep those on the south side of our pasture.

Next ranch project...Fixing Fences!!

Camping and Crab Feed 2009

Brooke enjoyed her first camping trip for the crab feed in Halfway, Oregon. Once we got there she talked nonstop!! She did so, so good. She loved being outside and sitting around the campfire. She even held her first pinecone and pineneedle. Grass wasn't ready to be explored yet. ;>) She slept great in the camper. We are set to go on more camping trips!!

Brooke and Daddy!!
She was watching all kinds of people. We are so glad she likes being in her backpack. Thank goodness we were able to borrow that camo snowsuit. It was perfect. The weather was just right. Not too cold to wait in line to get into the crab feed.
Our friends.... Jason, Kelly, John and Joni and behind me is Peat and Kate.
Crab was very, very good. We all ate way too much but that is what you're there for.

Brooke fell asleep as we got in and settled. While she slept in my arms Darin feed me big chunks of Crab!! Yummy.

Down for a catnap by the fire at our campsite.
