Brooke's 1st Birthday 9/4/2009

We got her a Tinkerbell Adventure Hut. She loves going through the tunnel and all the bright colors on it.

We did a Champaigne Toast to our daughter at 3:16pm the time she was born on 9/4/2009. We can't believe how the year flew. She is just so fun to have. We are very proud of her and she is daddy's little girl.

Tinkerbell Chocolate Cake made by Grandma Austin.

Brooke's 1st taste of her Chocolate Cake made by Grandma Austin. She never got into the cake and as you can see she only ate the frosting.

Happy 95th Birthday Aunt Ethel!!

We had a wonderful visit with my Great Aunt Ethel. She turned 95 this year. My Aunt Donna baked her a delish Carrot Cake and Aunt Ethel had Ice Cream. She was so surprised to have more company than she expected. She told lots of stories and was so fun to visit with. She is smart as a tack! I was able to video a little bit of our visit that I hope to someday share with my family. We left after a hour and a half visit however you could tell she wasn't ready for us to leave as I wasn't either. I hope to come back and visit with her again. She is an amazing woman.

Here are my Mom and Aunts with their Aunt Ethel.

St. Joe Fun!

We had a good time this year at the St. Joe River however we truely missed our daddy who had to stay in Trapper Creek and finish a job. Our Smackdown winner for Appetizer is Aunt Ilene and signature drinks went to Aunt Donna and Aunt Carol! Congrats to all of you!! We couldn't believe it rained on us the first night and into the next afternoon. Brooke had a hard time wanting to stay in the camper. She is an outdoor girl. It finally cleared up and was able to enjoy being outside. We enjoyed our visit with everyone in our family. We played with our cousin Chloe, Riley, Elise and Cooper. They are all such fun kids! Booke is 11 months.

Mr. Cooper Surplus and Miss Elise Frazier both 4 years old.

Mr. Riley Frazier at 14 months.

Brooke 10 Months and Walking!!

She started walking at the beginning of this month and is loving that she can go go go!! WOW how that has been great for us.
She is growing and getting to be a big girl ;>) She is eating pretty good and likes drinking water.
She is starting to say a few words here and there like up and baby. She loves dogs and gets excited when she is around one. We have a swing for her and she can be in that for hours. She loves to read her books. Daddy and I love to hear her tell us a story. It is neat to see that she can understand you when you say No or telling her what an object is when she points and I mean she points at EVERYTHING!

She points to the back door as she wants to be outside the moment she is up in the morning until she has to go to bed at night.
Loves ,Loves, Loves being outside.

Playing outside!

Brooke is having fun!! She loves walking the chairs. I line them up so she can go back and forth and I also have her music stand there too. She would rather do this than sit on a blanket and she isn't too sure of crawling on the grass just yet. We stay outside for at least 3 hours. It just way too nice to stay inside in the afternoons!!

Brooke's first trip to the Oregon Coast

While visiting Brooke's new cousin, Connor, we decided to go to the coast for a day. We went with Grandma and Grandpa Austin. She loved it!! .

She wanted to put her feet in the water with Grandpa's help and she wanted to walk up and down the sandy beach too. I think she loved the feel of the sand.

Mother's Day 2009

On Mother's Day we went to CJ Strike that is about an hour away from Boise. Daddy went fishing with Nick and Beth. Brooke and I just hung out on the beach. It was a georgous day!! We brought our camper so she could take her naps (and mommy too). Darin caught 8 little crabbies. Beth caught a big one.
Daddy and Brooke spoiled Mommy with a wonderful card and a gift certificate to get a manicure, pedicure and a 50 min. swedish massage. I am looking forward to having a couple of spa days. Thank you very much!! I love you both so much!

Brooke and her toys! Hat was a challenge to stay on.

Brooke

Here she is in summer outfits Oma got her. The purple dress she got when she was born and the pink outfit she got when Oma was here earlier this month. We are soo ready for warm weather!! She loves being outside. The warmer the better. She isn't a fan of the wind but who is?
She has figured out how to Clap. She does not want to learn to crawl yet. She would rather have me put my hands out and she holds them and walks. Once that takes place then I am in for it.
It is taking forever for her front tooth to come in and at the same time fighting a little cold.
She loves Gerber Sweet Potatoes finger food. She'll eat that rather than the food I make her UNLESS she is super hungery.
She is also getting more verbal. BABABAABAA and almost doing the Elvis lips moving her mouth around. She has also discovered her hands. Looking at them open/close while she drinks a bottle. It is cute. I hope all is well with everyone and we look forward to coming up north this summer. Dates pending but in the works ;>)

Brad and Brooke

Brad is my friend Amanda's youngest boy. I am babysitting him every Tues and Friday for 3 months. It is so fun. This has become a great thing for me and to have a playmate for Brooke. Brad is 10 months old and a very good boy. Brooke is a week shy of turning 7 months. They are becoming buddies. Brad can go all over the place while Brooke sits ;>) She'll get the hang of it in no time then I'll be chasing them all over the house ;>)

Underground Irrigation North Side Pasture

Through snow and hard wind these hard working men, Doug, Darin and Uncle Mike, put in underground irrigation in the north pasture.
We will still use the wheel lines to irrigate the pastures but this location will save us time. So instead of transfering the hand lines back and forth we will keep those on the south side of our pasture.

Next ranch project...Fixing Fences!!

Camping and Crab Feed 2009

Brooke enjoyed her first camping trip for the crab feed in Halfway, Oregon. Once we got there she talked nonstop!! She did so, so good. She loved being outside and sitting around the campfire. She even held her first pinecone and pineneedle. Grass wasn't ready to be explored yet. ;>) She slept great in the camper. We are set to go on more camping trips!!

Brooke and Daddy!!
She was watching all kinds of people. We are so glad she likes being in her backpack. Thank goodness we were able to borrow that camo snowsuit. It was perfect. The weather was just right. Not too cold to wait in line to get into the crab feed.
Our friends.... Jason, Kelly, John and Joni and behind me is Peat and Kate.
Crab was very, very good. We all ate way too much but that is what you're there for.

Brooke fell asleep as we got in and settled. While she slept in my arms Darin feed me big chunks of Crab!! Yummy.

Down for a catnap by the fire at our campsite.
